You’re invited to create with us!
Save the date for 12/27
Our monthly Creative Challengers community provides a great opportunity for new and seasoned IDs alike to practice and hone their eLearning development skills while meeting other instructional designers and LXDs in the field.
This month’s event is on Monday, 12/27 at 5PM PT on Zoom.
Throughout the month, we’ll work on our stretch creative assignment. Then we’ll meet for our Sip ‘n Showcase event, share our work and toast our achievements!
What we’re making this month
Create a 3-5 minute creative deliverable of your choice based on a holiday song. It should include music and follow the below branding guidelines.

Sample ideas
This prompt is totally open for interpretation, so the sky’s the limit! But here are a few ideas to get your creative wheels spinnin’.
- Create a click-to-reveal interaction in Storyline
- Create a holiday GIF in PowerPoint
- Create an animated Christmas card in Powtoon
- Create a menu for Santa using Canva or Adobe Spark
How to Participate
1. Grab your free graphics package!
This PowerPoint document has the full creative prompt details, the above brand guidelines for Claus Inc., and 7 pages of high-quality vector images for you to create your Winter Whimsy project with.
Whether or not you choose to attend the Sip ‘n Showcase, you’ll still find value from this doc! It’s worth the download, I promise.
2. RSVP to the Sip ‘n Showcase on 12/27 (Optional, but encouraged!)
You’re welcome to practice with the above prompt alone! However, if you’d like to join us for our monthly meet-up (think: “paint ‘n sip” meets “book club”), we’d love to have you. We’re a supportive bunch and this is a safe space for new IDs to explore new skills and get encouragement.
It’s $10 to attend, which goes directly into a raffle for prizes that are awarded to participants that evening.
Also being raffled: One 60-min 1:1 Zoom mentor sesh w/ me. ($75 value!)
Bring a friend! Spread the word! You’ll get full details on how to submit your assignment, as well as a link to the Eventbrite page with Zoom info, after RSVPing.
Hope to see you there!
